During the pandemic, taking time to do mindful activities (for me, crochet) has also allowed me to discover the importance of relaxation and socialising with friends for a happier mind. Having recently become interested in feminism and politics has also made more aware of societal issues.

Through student leadership at school I have worked to improve our community – I have had very varied opportunities throughout my education and feel passionately that every young person should be able to access the same. I am passionate about the environment, feminism and world issues. I hope to become an engineer to combat the climate crisis, and help many people along the way.

Young people are the core of our society and the future, and by allowing the youth voice to be the heart of Sheffield Futures we ensure everything is as relevant and personal as possible. This work is amazing – but it is important in these rapidly changing times to take a step back and ensure we are offering what people need now. That’s we where we come in.
